Rabbi Emily Cobert, has recently joined as the Assistant Rabbi/Education Director of Temple Israel in Ridgewood! Prior to assuming the position in Ridgewood, she served as rabbi of Temple Sinai in Middletown, NY.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Rabbi Cobert completed her Certificate in Pastoral and Counseling, her Masters in Jewish Education and her rabbinical ordination at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. She earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in Jewish History and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Rabbi Cobert is the Principal of the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies.
Rabbi Cobert lives in Ridgewood with her husband, Andy, and their daughter, Sarah.
