May 5, 2024
9:30 am - 10:30 am

Rabbi David J. Fine, PhD, Temple Israel of Ridgewood’s spiritual leader, will present talks in his adult education series featuring Hannah Arendt. Arendt was a Jewish emigre from Germany who escaped the Nazis to become one of the most influential American political theorists of the twentieth century.

In the popular mind she is best remembered for the controversy surrounding the trial of Adolf Eichmann, her attempt to explain how ordinary people become actors in totalitarian systems, which was considered by some an apologia, and for the phrase “the banality of evil.”

Rabbi Fine’s talks will be on the following Sunday schedule from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in-person at Temple Israel: January 21, February 4, March 3 & 10, April 14, May 5, June 9 & 16
