DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, January 14th\, at 9:30 a.m.\, Laurence Fine\, son o
 f Temple Israel’s Rabbi David and Alla Fine\, will talk about his recent
  study abroad experience at the University of Havana in Cuba. All of his c
 lasses were exclusively in Spanish and he was living with a local host fam
 ily. Part of the reason why Laurence chose to study abroad in Havana is be
 cause it has a small\, but active Jewish community.\n\nIn his talk\, Laure
 nce will discuss Cuba’s Jewish community\, general life in Cuba\, access
  to resources\, and political attitudes toward the U.S.\, Cuban government
 \, and Israel.\n\nLaurence Fine\, currently a junior at Wesleyan Universit
 y\, has recently completed a study abroad program at the University of Hav
 ana in Cuba.\n\n
